Young people should massively contribute to the achievement of good results in a country (Burundi), because their demographic importance is a significant asset (55.2% of young people are unemployed)
It is in this context that the United Nations Security Council recommended to the leaders of the signatory countries of the Resolution 2250 concerning young people (adopted on 09/12/2015 to grant them a considerable place in each sector of the national life. According to Burundian law, « young » is a person between 18 and 35 years old.
From an analytical point of view, there is a small number of young people in the workplace of Burundi.
This is due to a weak integration of this Resolution 2250 and a lot of young people who do not raise their esteem in order to show their potential.
